Mochachos based in the Mall of the South is halaal (SANHA approved) and has one of the warmest atmospheres a restaurant could possibly have – perhaps emanating from the warmth and generosity of the owners themselves.

We were offered an array of dishes from the menu including:
✔️ Family meal for 4 (2 x chicken quarters, 2 x chicken burgers, chips and cans)
✔️ Soft Chicken Tacos
✔️ Chicken Nachos (crispy tortilla chips covered in salsa and melted cheddar cheese served with jelapenos, guacamole and sour cream)
✔️ Chicken quesadilla (A soft flour tortilla with chicken, onion, green pepper, topped with salsa and melted cheddar cheese. Served with guacamole and sour cream)
✔️ Chicken & Mayo Sandwich

Although all meals were delicious and definitely upto Mochachos standard there were two meals that specifically stood out for me.

The chicken burger was absolutely flavourful and tasty…but the best and main part of the meal was the quarter chicken! I officially rate Mochachos (Mall of the South) chicken the best from the lot! Their chicken is fresh farm cut and believe me this makes all the difference. It is neither oily nor too dry but has just the perfect amount of spice and flavour with a deliciously crisp skin. Let’s just say that if I was nearer to the Mall of the South this would be my pick of the day, all day, every day!

Don’t forget to get their “Just Juice” flavours to quench your thirst…orange flavour is a fave!

For desserts we were served the chocolate mousse as well as the brownie. A bite of each more enchanting than the next. Desserts at Mochachos are definitely a must try with your next meal.
